I am shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Lee Montgomery. I didn't know she was seriously ill. She was a leader and an advocate of the needs of Bargaining Unit Employees of AFGE. I had the pleasure of serving with Lee on Local 3448 Executive Board. She was always ready and willing to do whatever it takes to solve the problem, get the job done. Her kind nature and lovely spirit will be missed.

Lee was a talented and valuable Vice President for AFGE Local 3448 for several years. She fought on behalf of workers and our members, she helped run our Local and always stepped up when asked to do more. Darlene and I appreciated her good humor and optimism shaded with realistic judgement for what is possible. Our hearts are saddened by Lee s passing we send condolences to her children, grandchildren, family and friends. We light a candle in memory of Lee, a tough and compassionate woman who looked for ways to make lives better at work and at home.

My sincere condolences to the family. I worked with Lee for a lot of years (SSA) & enjoyed being around her. Always kind, fun to talk with & we enjoyed some laughs together. She went the extra mile to help me. She really made a difference. I remember a lot of things she would said, one of my favorites was "I had 5 brothers and still ended up with a boy's name!" That always made me laugh. Lee was a special gal, I will always remember her.

No words can describe how sorry I am for your loss. Someone so special can never be forgotten. I will always remember the fun we had in Vegas at the convention and at the many other Union trips we made together. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. To Heather and Serenity, my prayers are with you.

Taken from us much too soon, still can't believe it. A true and loyal friend, who fought hard for her cause. Be it her family or the rights of others. I am truly blessed to have called Lee my good friend, she was a warrior and a princess all rolled into one. Her infectious giggle will always be with me. Heart felt prayers to Heather and Serenity and to the entire family - I was blessed to meet all of you. Ride on and fly high my friend, I love you.

I'm going to miss Aunt Lee. She was a wonderful woman who loved her daughters and was always so kind and generous to me. I remember spending time with Heather and KK when we were kids. It was so much fun being with my aunt and cousins; they are now and have been memories that I will treasure forever. I'm glad I got to see them again last year and meet Serenity, especially, even though it was brief and during another sad time with Grandma Shirley's passing. Seeing them again and going to the park was a joy anyway. I'll miss Aunt Lee's laugh, her hugs, her energy, everything. I'm so glad she was my aunt. I love you, Aunt Lee, Heather, KK, and Serenity.

I remember Lee Ann when i was just a little girl when visiting Grandma and Grandpa's farm. I always thought she was so pretty, and we'd play Barbie dolls together, walk the fields around the farm, and I remember spending the night with her and her brothers at the old farm house up the lane. Some of the best memories of childhood and as a teen was when visiting them on the farm. We rode mini-bikes, fished, and had so much fun on summer vacation. Her mom sent Lee's hand-me-down clothes to me, which I was so proud to wear. She was always full of life and a strong woman. Everyone loved her. Now she is with GRandma Estelle, Grandpa Walter; her Dad, Jack; her mom, Shirley; her brother Kraig in Heaven; Aunt Edna, Aunt Pauline, and so many others we all loved. One day, we will all eat together again ...at the table of Jesus together in Heaven! So let's all remember to stay close to Him in these hard and turbulent days. I love you all and will praying for you -- Karl, Keith, Kurt, Kris, Jane, Renee, Maria, Peggy, Kyle, Kourtney, Keri, Kalyn, Heather, Serenity, Dakota, Cheyenne, Kerriah, Sierra, Jayme, Molly, Haley, CJ, Kelley, <3
