Jed was a kind, sweet soul and I had the privilege of serving with him when we were at Beale in the 99th RS. He helped me through quite a bit later in our friendship with reassuring words when we'd talk on the phone. I was so happy I got to come up and see him Apr 2018 after not seeing each other in 24 years. Tha big grin and huge bear hug at the airport was great and then laughing because I couldn't remember what my suitcase I had borrowed looked like. He was definitely a great guy that will be missed. I'm so sorry for his family's loss and I'll keep y'all in my prayers.

Oh Jed! I had hoped you would beat this ugly monster. I’ll forever cherish our antics in the college bookstore, lunch at Rocknes and the concerts we attended. You were one of a kind. Loyal and that smile! My prayers are for your children, may God embrace them and keep them from harm.

My husband and I served with Jed (or Jedi as he was nicknamed) as fellow crew chiefs at Eielson AFB. Only recently we were able to reconnect after nearly twenty years through social media. We enjoyed a little reminiscing about our time in service together. In the many years since our separation from the Air Force, Jed is a name that has popped up on numerous occasions when my husband and I talk about our time in the 355th. My husband and I would like to send our deepest condolences to Jeds family and friends in this difficult time.
