David W. Miller, 55, of New Philadelphia died Thursday, June 6, 2019, at his residence following a year-long battle with cancer.

Completing the family are his siblings, Mike (JoAnn) Miller of Wellsburg, West Virginia, Tammy (Dennis) Hamann of Massillon, Gina (Dave) Boyer of Stone Creek, Dale (Amber) Miller of Louisville and Shawn (Joyce) Miller of New Philadelphia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a grandson, Dean and three brothers, Joey Miller, Larry Miller and Tim Miller.

The family will greet guests one hour prior to a memorial service on Monday, June 10, 2019, from 4-5 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Pastor Brian Flood will lead a 5 PM service in the funeral home’s chapel.

Dear Tammy: I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. I truly understand and will pray for peace and comfort for you and your family. No one truly knows until they have experienced a loss of husband or wife. You have not "lost" him, he will live in your heart and mind forever. I am praying the coming days will bring a measure of comfort knowing that he is no longer suffering and is at peace with Jesus. I cannot help but think about your mom and how this time in your life would have hurt her so. If the funeral home offers a "grief recovery" program, take advantage of this, one of the best things I ever experienced. This will be the greatest change in your life. I am hoping you have a good Church that you have attended. If you have make that time your priority. Take one day at a time. I want to say once again, I am very sorry and will be thinking of you often and praying for you.
