Cindy L. White, age 64, of Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in her residence following an unexpected illness.

Born in Bethesda Hospital at Zanesville, Ohio on December 7, 1955, Cindy was a daughter of the late Virgil and Opal Wineman Ebersbach.

She was a graduate of the former Indian Valley South High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Kent State University. On November 11, 1977, she married the love of her life, David White. Together the couple shared in 29 years of marriage prior to his death on April 12, 2006.

For more than a decade, Cindy was employed by Buckeye Career Center at New Philadelphia where she worked as a Career Evaluation Coordinator. In her free time, she was an avid reader who also enjoyed walking, and swimming. Her other passions in life were listening to Rock and Roll music, watching Sci-Fi and Horror movies, and spending time with her grandchildren and friends. Those who knew Cindy will fondly remember her for her bright personality and her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. She was rarely seen without a smile on her face.

Cindy will be missed by her children, Mandy White-Gibbs of Massillon and Matthew White of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Zoe Gibbs, Kayla Gibbs, and Chase Gibbs, Bailey Carl, Logan White, Skyler White, and Kendall White; her brother, Virgil (Linda) Ebersbach, Jr. of Newcomerstown; a niece Carrie; a nephew, Mike and their families.

In addition to her parents and husband, Cindy was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Ebersbach.

Private services will be held with burial to take place at a later date in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.
