Barbara Ellen Kohler, 81, of New Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Community Hospice at New Philadelphia following a brief illness.

Barbara Ellen Kohler, 81, of New Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Community Hospice at New Philadelphia following a brief illness.

A daughter of the late William M. and Helen E. (Spring) Beans, Barbara was born in Baltzley Valley on November 16, 1939.

Barbara was employed for several years at Dover High Performance Plastics. She had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed walking. She also enjoyed caring for others and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris Grezlik; her grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Grezlik and Karmann (Chad Mathias) Grezlik and her nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Chuck Kohler; her son-in-law, Tom Grezlik and her brother, Chuck Beans.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11 a.m. in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia with Pastor Kevin Anslow officiating.

Contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
