Barbara D. Beaber, age 72, of Dover, died Saturday, February 29, 2020, on her 18th birthday, in her residence following a period of declining health.

Born on February 29, 1948, in Tuscarawas County’s Sharon Valley, Barb was a daughter of the late Robert and Thelma Reichman Case.

Barbara D. Beaber, age 72, of Dover, died Saturday, February 29, 2020, on her 18th birthday, in her residence following a period of declining health.

Born on February 29, 1948, in Tuscarawas County’s Sharon Valley, Barb was a daughter of the late Robert and Thelma Reichman Case.

She was a 1966 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and for many years worked in local factories before taking on the full-time job of grandma as she babysat her grandchildren.

Barb loved crocheting, knitting, playing board games, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, watching game shows and scratching off lottery tickets.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Glenn Beaber; her children, Kathy (George) Joseph, Bridgett (Gary) Gibson, Becky (Jay) Elliott and David (Ashley) Brown; her step-sons, Larry Beaber and Glenn “Junior” Beaber, Jr.; her grandchildren, Hunter Joseph, Larkin Joesph, and Jent Joseph, Ashley (Seth) Gibson, Casey (Jenn) James, Courtney Brown, Amber Daniels, Emilee Kinsey, Katelinn Kinsey, David Brown, Jr, and Kingston Brown and her great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Chase, Kaeden, Jayden, Dominic, and Kyra.

Completing the family are her sisters, Vicki (Dick) Anderson, Phyllis (Jim) Barkett, Freda (Rick) Young, Mary (Jim) Hunter and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by an infant brother, Bobby Case.

There will be no public visitation or services. Cremation will be conducted through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.

Kathy, Bridgett, Becky, and David, I’m so sorry for your loss. I haven’t seen your mom for a long time but she will still be missed.
