Nathan Douglas

Licensed Funeral Director, CFSP

Nathan is a native of New Philadelphia, Ohio. He joined the Geib Funeral Home & Crematories in September 2007.

Nathan graduated from New Philadelphia High School and Kent State University. He earned Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Technology, and Bachelor of Computer Science degrees. Nathan also has experience as a Certified Celebrant and Technology Coordinator. He is a member of the Tri-County Funeral Directors Association, Ohio Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association,  and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.

In 2016, Nathan qualified for the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), offered by the Academy. To receive this award, he completed a 180 hour program of continuing education activities and events.

In his community, Nathan is a member of the Clayland Lions Club, an Assistant Cub Master Pack 84- Philadelphia,  and Pack 84 Fundraising Chair. He regularly attends Park Christian Church of Dennison, Ohio. Nathan is also a board member of Imagine Missions – 501C3, an organization that operates an orphanage in Des Pinos, Haiti.

He and his wife, Amanda, have three children: Alexander, Zachary, and Maegan. Nathan enjoys camping, being outdoors, working on technology projects, attending music events, cooking, grilling, and remodeling his early 1900s home.
